A Fungicide by making a Bordeaux Mixture (Copper Sulphate mixed with Lime)

A Chestnut compound (mixture of Copper Sulphate and Ammonium Carbonate) is used in horticulture to prevent damping off in seedlings

In printing as an electrolyte and etching agent

The paint industry for antifouling

Copper Sulphate is commonly included in youngsters chemistry sets and is often used in schools to grow crystals and also in electroplating experiments. Because of its toxicity it is not recommended that young children handle Copper Sulphate.
